This page sets out how content on MediConnect World is researched, written, reviewed and updated — and, just as importantly, the current review status of what you are reading.
Current status. This site is newly published. Our clinical pages have been researched and written but have not yet been reviewed by a registered clinician, and our indicative prices have not yet been independently verified. We say so on every affected page rather than implying a level of assurance we have not yet reached. Both are in progress and this page will be updated as each is completed.
How we research
- Clinical information is drawn from peer-reviewed literature, national clinical guidance and the published materials of accreditation bodies.
- Accreditation claims are checked against the register of the body that issued them.
- Prices, once verified, are collected from clinics’ own published price lists and dated.
- Regulatory and visa information is taken from the relevant national authority and linked, because it changes.
Medical review
Our intended standard is that every clinical page is reviewed before publication by a clinician registered in the relevant specialty, that the reviewer is named with their registration number, and that pages are re-reviewed annually. Where a page has been reviewed we will state who reviewed it and when. Where it has not, we will say that instead. We will not display a review byline that has not happened.
Corrections
If you find something inaccurate, tell us at [email protected]. We correct errors of fact promptly and note material corrections on the page.
Independence
Referral fees never determine what we publish, which clinics we list, or how we describe them. See our affiliate disclosure for how we are funded.
