This page explains the cookies this site uses and how to control them. It sits alongside our privacy policy.
What we use
- Strictly necessary cookies. Needed for the site to function — for example remembering your cookie choice. These do not require consent and cannot be switched off.
- Analytics cookies. Set only if you consent. They tell us which pages are read and where visitors arrive from, in aggregate.
We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels or cross-site tracking, and we do not build profiles of visitors. On a site about medical treatment we think that would be inappropriate regardless of whether it is lawful.
Changing your choice
You can change or withdraw consent at any time using the cookie settings link in the footer, or by clearing cookies in your browser. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that already took place.
Third-party embeds
Where we embed video or maps, the provider may set their own cookies once the content loads. We load such embeds only after you click, so nothing is set unless you choose to view it.
