Healthcare standards and regulation
The Czech Republic runs a universal insurance-based system alongside a private sector regulated by the Ministry of Health. Physicians are registered with the Czech Medical Chamber, and EU professional qualification rules apply.
Accreditation
Czech clinics work within EU and national regulation; the national accreditation body SAK certifies hospitals, and some larger facilities also hold JCI. Fertility clinics are licensed and inspected by the State Institute for Drug Control. Check licensing there rather than relying on a badge.

Safety and what to weigh
Czechia offers most of Spain's regulatory advantages at meaningfully lower cost, and the flight is shorter. For fertility this is one of the strongest value propositions in Europe, and the sector's thirty-year track record with foreign patients means the logistics are well practised.
As in Spain, gamete donation is anonymous under Czech law. Your donor-conceived child will not be able to trace their donor. Understand that consequence fully before choosing a jurisdiction — it is not reversible, and it differs sharply from UK law.

How long is the stay?
Most clinics run a short-stay model — monitoring at home, then five to seven days for retrieval and transfer. Confirm who supervises your local monitoring.
Are success rates published?
Czech clinics report to a national registry. Ask for live birth rates per transfer for your own age bracket rather than clinic-wide pregnancy rates.
Can embryos be shipped to the UK?
Often, but it requires licensed clinics at both ends, matching consent paperwork and a specialist courier. Arrange it before your cycle, not after.
Is dental work worth combining?
Prague dental prices are competitive, but combining a dental course with a fertility cycle in one trip is rarely practical — both need their own schedule.
